I tried to harness the sound of my lost childhood innocence. There came a point in life where I realized that not everyone will love me the way they loved me as a child (when people saw me as an endless sea of possibilities).Â

I just came back from tour when I wrote this tune about greed destroying our sense of purpose and love for the planet. I wanted it to sound raw, so we recorded most of the vocals in one take with a room mic.Â
Hate MyselfÂ
It’s the anxiety that comes with tying your self-worth to others’ opinions. The song really sounds like a downer, but in reality, It’s about finding self-confidence. I came to terms with the fact that I will always end up hating the version of myself that is trying to make others happy all of the time.Â
Glorious Day
It’s a little reminder to enjoy life to the fullest. It also doubles as an awkward adventure where the protagonist loses his virginity in a Honda Accord.Â

Some people will have such a profoundly negative impact on you, it becomes impossible to permanently remove them from your life (even after they die). The Dead Come Talking explores the idea of a person’s abuse coming back to haunt you as a ghost that keeps insisting on its own existence.Â
