BABYMETAL are celebrating their 15th anniversary with a new version of one of their early classics.
‘Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!’ was first released back in 2012 as a core part of their self-titled debut album, which eventually followed in 2014. A pitch-perfect example of the band’s crossover style, utilising quintessential kawaii cuteness alongside crushing metal ferocity, it remains a highlight of their live shows today.
And with this new version, they up the ante even more than it was already at. Featuring fresh vocals from MOMOMETAL, who officially joined the band back in 2023, it is bigger, bolder and more bludgeoning than ever before.
The song is accompanied by a glorious video, overflowing with easter eggs, nods to the past and, of course, ghostly figures jumping out of arcade machines. Just the way it should be.
BABYMETAL released their latest album ‘METAL FORTH’ last year, featuring huge collaborations with Spiritbox, Tom Morello, Poppy and many more.
