Balu Brigada have shared a new track titled ‘BedHead’, their first new music since the release of their 2025 album ‘Portals’.
The song finds the band in shimmering form, with short, sharp melodies and bright, breezy atmospheres aplenty. Five minutes of perfect end-of-summer thoughtfulness and tenacity, it is a wonderful start to a new chapter for the band at a point where they really do have the world at their feet.
Henry and Pierre Beasley had this to say about the song:
“‘BedHead’ is about trading sleep for a dream. It’s being aware of all the hurts and heartaches that inevitably come from pursuing a passion project, and deciding it’s worth doing anyway. Written after the busiest year of our lives, ‘BedHead’ bittersweetly details the sacrifices we make to relationships, sleep, and home life, and comes to the conclusion that we wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m g-g-g-good with that.”
The band released their debut album ‘Portals’ just under a year ago, and it has since been streamed millions of times worldwide. It features the smash hit ‘Backseat’, which sounds a lot like this:
