Bears In Trees have released a new track, set to appear on a new EP dropping in February.
So, first, the track. It’s called ‘Large Hadron Collider’, and it slots neatly into the band’s collection of bright and twinkly releases. Thoughtful, inspiring and smile-inducing, it holds a message that, much like the colossal particle accelerator in Geneva, the chances of things going right aren’t always guaranteed. But what are we if we aren’t trying?
The band had this to say in their beautifully poetic manner, stating, “There is no joy sweeter than failing with someone else. No joy more beautiful than giving everything and getting nothing back in return. No joy more meaningful than a mistake made with people you cherish.
Because it is not the failure that defines you. It is the steps you take along the way. The intensity with which you cared enough to try. And maybe most importantly – the people with which you failed with.”
Keep those words in mind whilst you listen to the track, because they shine all the brighter together.
And now, the release. The song is set to appear on an EP called ‘Success Is Monumental’, an accompaniment and second half of last year’s ‘Success Is Unlikely’. Together, they make one big, lovely album. It will be released on February 12 via I Sure Hope It Does, and you can pre-order and pre-save it from right here.
