BLACKGOLD Release New Single And Video For ‘Villain’

Blackgold have shared new track ‘Villain’, which arrives with a cartoonish video.

The masked outfit have released the new tune just days before playing their final support slot on Limp Bizkit’s tour at Wembley Arena.

The accompanying video sees a number of colourful, animated characters, which you can check out below.

Speaking of the new track, BLACKGOLD vocalist Spookz has explained the meaning behind the track, saying:

“To villainize someone is to make them out to be the bad guy. This implies that they aren’t necessarily as bad as they’re being described.

“No matter how hard you try, you’ll always be the Villain someone’s story.”

The release of ‘Villain’ follows the band’s Best UK Breakthrough Artist nomination at the Heavy Music Awards 2023.

It’s also the latest offer for what’s to come on their second EP, ‘Volume 2’, which arrives on 5 May and also contains previously released singles ‘On Another Level’, ‘Boogeyman’, and ‘Way Out’.

After being handpicked by Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst to join them on their current UK and EU tour, BLACKGOLD will soon be supporting Skindred on their run of UK dates later this year.
