Can’t Swim Announce New Album ‘Thanks But No Thanks’

One of the scene’s most consistent bands have another record coming out soon, and you’re going to absolutely love it.

Can’t Swim have announced that they are going to be releasing a new record later this year.

It’s going to be called ‘Thanks But No Thanks’ and will be dropping on March 03 via Pure Noise Records. It serves as the follow-up to 2021’s ‘Change Of Plans’.

Vocalist Chris LoPorto had this to say:

This was honestly the most fun we’ve ever had making an album. We’ve reached a point as a band where we’re able to stop overthinking and instead just do what feels right. I think it’s brought a lot of joy back into our music.”

The artwork looks like this:

And the tracklisting like this:

01. Nowhere, Ohio
02. “can you help me?”
03. me vs me vs all y’all
04. met u the day the world ended
05. yer paradox i’m paradigm
06. i heard they found you face down inside your living room
07. ELIMINATE
08. i’ve never paid a toll on the garden state parkway
09. even my anger has issues
10. thx but no thx

You can listen to ‘me vs me vs all y’all’ right now as well, and it is a belter. A proper bouncy, blistering piece of pop-punk fury. Though it has a much more poignant message at its core.

Chris had this to say about it:

me vs me vs all of y’all’ is one of the more personal songs I’ve ever written. Though the music is upbeat and poppy sounding, the lyrics talk about questioning my life and the decisions I’ve made. Looking back on the last 7 years of being in Can’t Swim and asking myself if there was a better way. Listing a few of my favorite artists and comparing myself to their success. Missing my little cousins grow up, my friends getting married and being broke as fuck haha. Also exposing that it isn’t so glamorous constantly being on stage and seeing every mistake you make through the camera lens of strangers.”

You can also hear the previously released ‘ i heard they found you face down inside your living room’, which is a proper gut punch:
