Cavetown and Chloe Moriondo have continued their long-standing collaboration with a new track, set to appear on the former’s upcoming album.
The pair have spent much of this decade joining forces in the creative sphere. From an acoustic version of ‘Boys Will Be Bugs’ way back in 2018 to the beautiful ‘Snail’ in 2020, all the way up to a cover of Wheatus’ ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ in 2021, the pair are well established as a duo.
And that connection is now extending into ‘Sailboat’, a track that showcases where both of their musical desires have stretched in the years that have followed. A glitchy, glittery, and garish piece of bedroom hyperpop, with a sugary sweet chorus that will lodge in your ears, it’s the most outlandish work the duo has shared to date. Though the thing that hasn’t changed is just how perfectly suited their voices are to each other.

The track is set to appear on Cavetown’s new record ‘Running With Scissors’, which will be out in the world on January 16 via Futures.
It will also include the cute intimacy of ‘Baby Spoon’, which sounds like this:
Robbie will be heading out on a tour of the UK and Europe to celebrate the album’s release later in the year. The dates look a little bit like this:
