Charlotte Sands Shares Raw New Track ‘back to you’

Charlotte Sands has shared the final teaser for her upcoming album ‘Satellite’, and she is bearing her soul in a big way.

Titled ‘back to you’, it’s a song that centres on the feeling of realising that you aren’t being yourself, and haven’t been for a while. In this circumstance, it comes at the cost of losing yourself in someone who you thought would make you shimmer, but hasn’t worked out the way you thought. So, sitting between staying with someone who means the world to you, or attempting to step back into being the person you know you should be, it’s a hard place to be.

And you can hear just how much the situation is affecting Charlotte. Set against a classic pop-rock soundtrack, you can hear in her voice just how much she is unloading here. It’s the sort of raw and honest songwriting that she has mastered over the years, and her hot streak is very much continuing.

She had this to say about the song, explaining, “‘back to you’ came from realizing how easy it is to lose yourself in someone else’s orbit. It’s about recognizing the pattern for what it is, and how every choice, every excuse, and every ‘what if’ leads you back to the same place. It’s the loop you fall into when you ignore your intuition and mistake warning signs for butterflies.”

‘Satellite’ is set for release on March 06. It will also feature the previously released ‘Afterlife’ and 'neckdeep’.

Charlotte will also be touring across the UK and Europe as support for Simple Plan later this year. Those dates look like this.
