Crawlers are back with news of a surprise new EP, featuring powerful latest single ‘BIRTHDAY’.
Just one month after the arrival of the trio’s last EP ‘TURN OFF THE TV’, they’re kicking off another fresh era.
Titled ‘LIVE WITH THIS’, the band’s new EP will be released on November 13 via Nettwerk.
To celebrate the announcement, Crawlers have also shared the first single of this next chapter. Titled ‘BIRTHDAY’ it’s an emotional, anthemic cut that explores the conflicting feelings that come with getting older, and how a day that is supposed to feel like a celebration of our growth can be dominated by sadder, more complicated emotions.
Speaking on the track, vocalist Holly Minto has said:
“Birthday’ is about feeling lost and disconnected as you get older, especially around birthdays, which are supposed to feel special but often just end up being painful. It touches on feeling alone even when surrounded by people, but also finding comfort in knowing this is a shared, generational struggle. Underneath the loss of innocence and wishing for easier times, there’s a deep desire to feel something real, to be seen, and to be loved. Ultimately, the song is about holding onto those small, warm memories that get you through to the next year.”
