Crown The Empire And Bassist Hayden Tree Have Parted Ways

Crown The Empire have revealed that after 15 years together, the band and bassist Hayden Tree are to part ways.

Hayden has been with the band since their inception, playing on every one of their five albums, the latest being 2023’s ‘DOGMA’.

The announcement was made via social media, with the band posting a short statement with the caption reading, “After 15 years of touring the world together, Hayden Tree has decided to step away from the band. It’s been an amazing ride together, love you so much, brother.”

Though it is in the video that accompanies it, taken from their recent show at Warped Tour, where the context of the decision is revealed, with Hayden admitting that he is taking the time away to be with his newborn baby.

Vocalist Andy Leo had this to say in the clip, stating, “It is a special day. This is our first show where our bass player Hayden Tree is officially a father. Give it up for Hayden Tree. The new Daddy. He’s a living legend, and he’s decided he’s gonna spend some time at home taking care of his baby, so give it up for the boy. This is our last show together. We started this band more than ten years ago with the dream of playing Warped Tour back when we were 15 years old in his garage. Let’s give it up. One last time together.”

If you still want to hear music from Hayden, you can because he is also a member of Underbrook, the new pop-punk emo project featuring Chris Comstock, more famously known as EDM legend Marshmello. The band also features Josh Strock (Motionless In White, Fever 333, Machine Gun Kelly), guitarist Danny Couture (Bring Me The Horizon, Marshmello), guitarist Jake Torrey (Linkin Park, Twenty One Pilots) and drummer James Brownstein.
