DES ROCS has released a new track that embodies everything that is sensational about rock and roll.
Titled ‘When The Love Is Gone’, it’s a track pulled from a different time yet feels thoroughly fresh and vibrant. Injected with all the glitz and glam of rock and roll in the 70s, the leather-bound intent of the 80s, and the arena-baiting stature of the 90s, it teleports you through the genre’s storied history with a glint in its eye and a grin across its face. With a viciously catchy chorus, a fiery guitar solo and a blend of melodies that will be trapped in your head long after the glitter has faded, it’s a sure-fire hit.
Though dig deeper, and there are some tears staining those guitar strings.
DES had this to say about the tune, stating, “This one’s a gut punch. It’s about losing something that was everything to you. The riffs are aggressive, but it’s all tied up in these vulnerable moments. It’s funny, ‘cause sometimes rock music these days can feel so distant. Like it’s coming from up on some hill. But I’ve always felt that when you mix it with real pain and real stories, it hits harder than any detuned riff or breakdown on the planet. That’s what I’m always chasing in a way.”
The track is the latest in a long line of singles, all leading towards a new album due out on Sumerian Records.
