Fall Out Boy performed their cover of Billy Joel‘s classic ‘We Didn’t Start The Fire’ at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards (September 12).
The band, who were also nominated in the Best Alternative category, took to an outdoor stage in the host city of New Jersey, with an appropriately flame-filled stage and some David Byrne-esque oversized suits. This was their third time performing at the event, following appearances in 2005 and 2007, where they memorably teamed up with Rihanna for a version of ‘Shut Up And Drive’.
