Good Kid have added another layer to their upcoming album ‘Can We Hang Out Sometime?’ with the release of a shimmering new track.
Titled ‘Eastside’, it continues down the same exploratory, eclectic and exhilarating sound that the band have been perfecting. An audacious, punk-speckled track, brimming with overblown bass and some sharp vocal Olympics. It’s a blink-and-miss-it blast of colour that further explores the band’s intriguing universe in the most vibrant way.
Oh, and the video is a bit special. Through a contest, one very lucky fan got the chance to be animated in the band’s cartoonish style. You can spot who it is, and you can only imagine how they must feel watching it back now.
A band and fan connection like no other.
‘Can We Hang Out Sometime?’ will be released on April 03. It will also feature the already shared ‘Rift’ and ‘Wall’.
The band will also be hitting the road on both sides of the Atlantic later in the year. Those dates look like this.
