Gore. have made their return in some style with the release of a decadent and deafening new track.
Titled ‘Lead Me To the Slaughter’, it finds the band pulling at all of their wondrous strengths at the same time. Atmospherically dense and curious, melodically beautiful and bold, and intensely heavy in all right ways, it is modern post-hardcore as it should be deliver. Keeping you on your toes from beginning to end and dealing out plenty of pain along the way, it’s a sensational showing from a band that continue to build up their confidence.
The band had this to say about it:
“This song is about being indoctrinated into a cult, and idolizing what kills you. Idolatry is rampant beyond human repair with social media — we now look at people like they’re gods. We idolize money, fame, and beauty more now than we ever have as a society. These idols will lead us to nothing but guilt, shame, and suffering.”
