Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt’s side-project The Coverups have announced a very special London show taking place in early 2025.
After making a couple of stops in the capital at the start of 2024 – complete with a surprise onstage appearance from Courtney Love – the intimate show will be another chance to catch the legendary cover band.
Featuring Green Day touring guitarist Jason White – as well as Bill Schneider and Chris Dugan – the show will take place on January 15 at O2 Academy Islington,
It’s been a big year for Billie Joe and his bandmates playing small venues.
In the run-up to the release of their chart-topping ‘Saviors’ LP earlier this year, Green Day played an acoustic set at The Marquis pub in central London, and put on a surprise show in a New York subway station.

Green Day will be stepping back onto the big stages next summer though as they prepare to headline Download Festival for the very first time – get your tickets here.
