Greywind have dropped melancholic anthem ‘Swerve’, the latest single from their forthcoming album ‘Severed Heart City’.

With the new record set to land September 19 via FLG, it follows previously released singles ‘Waterfall’, ‘Moon’, ‘I.K.A.M.F’ and ‘Acid Rain’.
Speaking on ‘Swerve’, guitarist Paul O’Sullivan has shared:
“Swerve is about trying to destroy the layer of sadness that has consumed you for so long. Trying different ways to cope but being consumed by the feeling that there’s no way out.”
Vocalist Steph adds:
“[The song taps into] that never ending feeling of sorrow where all you want to do is close your eyes and fall asleep but you keep having nightmares about the past.”

On the release of their second album the brother-sister duo have said:
“Severed Heart City is an extended allegory for the stages of trauma, and one’s inner struggle to find resolution… There are many roads that lead to the heart of this broken city, but there is only one bridge out – one of acceptance and hope. Our band was created after the suicide of our uncle and since then we’ve been on an intense journey of achieving some of our biggest dreams to then having everything ripped away from us. Severed Heart City is a place where it’s ok to be sad, depressed and feel like the whole world is against you but it’s also a place where you make sure none of those things ever make you give up on yourself or your dreams. Only you can save yourself.”
