GURRIERS are continuing their ascent to the very top with the announcement of their second full-length album, and it’s already sounding wild.
It’s set to be titled ‘Nobody’s Coming To Save You’ and will be released on September 25 via Play It Again Sam. It serves as the follow-up to 2024’s ‘Come And See’.

And the band have also shared the opening crescendo of the record, which is also the title track, and it sets up the vibe of the whole era wonderfully. A dark, sludgy, meandering piece of grunge-laced heaviness, it’s a track that sticks to you like tar, coating you more and more in total darkness. It’s uncomfortable one moment, melodically addictive the next. As much a manifesto for everything that the band represents as it is a unique glimpse into their psyche and purpose.
It’s an amazing place to start, basically.
Though despite the hopelessness that might exist on the surface, the band explain what happens if you look a little deeper:
“It’s a song that feels hopeless on its first listen, but if you look at it more deeply it’s a call to action, no one is going to rise up if everyone expects someone else to do it. We all have to do our part in creating the change.”
