Harpy is back again with another slice of decadent and dangerous alt-pop darkness.
Slowly but surely revealing herself to the world, Harpy is back with another new track.
And this is one of the best yet.
It’s called ‘Swallow’ and is as pitch-black as it is bold and bloody.
It throbs and pulses with a bassline that hits you deep in the heart and it matched wonderfully to a vocal that coils itself around your throat and squeezes.
It is unrelenting and uncompromising and will have you hot under the collar before you know it.
She had this to say about it:
Swallow sounds like the traumatised hate f*** child of Sam Smith’s ‘Unholy’ and Korn’s ‘Twisted Transistor’. We wrote this song almost two years ago, and up until this point I’ve really just been setting the scene for this moment. I am calling out abusers and manipulators through this song, some even by name, they had their chance to be better, time to taste the truth. I hope this song gives power to those that have been unforgivably hurt by others, who for too long have abused positions of power.”
