Hayley Williams has surprised fans with a brand new single, ‘Mirtazapine’, debuting the track via a Nashville public radio station.

A post-punk, shoegazey banger, the song was played on the WNXP station last night (July 23) with the handwritten message on the CD reading ‘Thanks for keeping me company. Long Live Public Radio’.
Due to recent federal cuts to public media, WNXP is currently attempting to raise critical funding to continue operating. You can find out more info here.
There’s no official word yet on a release date for ‘Mirtazapine’ (or its apparent b-side ‘Glum’) but for now you can listen via some fan-recorded clips posted to social media:
Williams has worked on a number of collaborations so far this year including ‘I Like It I Like It’ with Moses Sumney and ‘Seein Stars’ with Turnstile which she recently performed live with the band.
