Artio’s new album ‘Soul Rot’ is out now, which means that the band’s new collaboration with As It Is is out as well.
That collaboration is ‘Full On Fight For Fun’, a song drenched in nostalgic emotion and immense gratitude. On a record so full of heaviness, the song serves as a ray of sunshine through the clouds, a familial hug. It’s reinvigorating, rallying and raucous in the right ways, and with the inclusion of As It Is’ Patty Walters and Ben Langford-Biss going toe to toe with vocalist Rae Brazill, the energy is even more infectious.
Rae had this to say about what the track represents, stating, “‘Full On Fight’ is an ode to my sister, and our childhood. A story of growing up, changing, becoming adults and experiencing our lives together, expressing how much I love her and how far I wish to see her go. The title is the name of a game we made up as children, and the vocal sample at the end is her. She is as much this song as we are, and it’s all for her.’”
It’s incredibly lovely, and it’s ready and waiting for you below.
The song serves as a full circle moment for the two bands, after Rae appeared on As It Is’ 10th anniversary edition of their debut album ‘Never Happy, Ever After’, specifically on ‘Turn Back To Me’.
