Malevolence have surprise-released a new track, and further demonstrated that they can pen the perfect ballad as much as they can the biggest bruiser.

Titled ‘Silhouette’, it is a beautiful slow-build of a metal track, brimming with mountain-high atmospheres and even bigger hooks. It’s a showcase of just how much the band have developed their sound and sentiment over the years, allowing their more raw and gooey-eyed emotions to run riot alongside their anger and malice. A rose inbetween the thorns that needs to be screamed along to as loudly and proudly as possible.
And considering that it is the first track that they have released as a once-again independent band, now firmly sharing sound via their MLVTD MUSIC imprint, it is freedom at its most fantastical and fierce.
The band had this to say about the release:
“Surprise! This one is for the lovers. Go listen to our brand new single on all streaming services this Valentine’s weekend, released independently on our very own label MLVLTD MUSIC.
“We have, of course, been known to flirt with the ballads in the past, but this one feels like a real step outside our comfort zone of the aggressive mosh parts and breakdowns that people have come to expect. It’s nice to get vulnerable for once, flex our songwriting muscles and show the world that we have much more to offer as musicians than what might meet the eye.”
The band released their latest album ‘Where Only The Truth Is Spoken’ last year, which took them to a huge double-header of shows in the UK and Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse and London’s Brixton Academy.
Here is ‘If It’s All The Same To You’:
