Mallory Knox Share Rousing New Track ‘The Dog’

Mallory Knox have shared their second new single since vocalist Mikey Chapman’s return, and it’s absolutely huge.

Titled ‘The Dog’, it follows their rousing return with ‘Afterglow’ last month, staking their claim on the British rock scene once more.

It follows the band’s initial comeback in 2024 at Slam Dunk Festival, after which they headed out on tour for a 10th anniversary celebration of Asymmetry’. Now though, a new chapter is well and truly underway.

Here’s what Mikey had to say about their latest track:

“When writing The Dog, I wanted to really explore the duality found in our journeys through life. Ebb and flow are inevitable features of the human experience. You can’t expect the good without the bad, or ease without struggle, for example. It’s very easy to lose sight of this concept, particularly when trying to avoid struggle and pain using vices as means of distraction, or indeed chasing a naive, permanent state of happiness which negates the value of its counterpoint.

“Ultimately, these attempts to deny the duality through which we all live our lives inevitably bring us back to the need to face the struggle – to find the bravery and humility, responsibility for our own wellbeing, to face the black dog that follows us all. To find ways to make it our friend.”
