Maple’s Pet Dinosaur, the teenage metal sensation from down under, have announced the details of a new EP called ‘Child’s Play’ and unveiled the title track.
The track itself is an absolute bruiser. A hard-hitting riff-filled and violent piece of horror movie metal that not only showcases the personality and fun-loving nature of the band but also what incredible musicians they are.
Maple had this to say about the song’s intentions:
“I thought it would be fun to fuse Ariana Grande or Xtina-style vocal runs over something really dirty and heavy. I love exploring new ideas inside heavy, alt-metal – or whatever people want to define my genre as.”
And it will appear on an EP also called ‘Child’s Play’, which will be released on October 30 via their new label Warner.
Maple had this to say about the signing:
Signing a global deal with Warner and In Bloom ahead of my debut EP ‘Child’s Play’ is a dream come true. Dan and the team at Warner in Australia have confidently empowered my creative vision and process at home, while Johnny’s A&R chops and personal support coupled with his team at In Bloom’s global footprint puts me in a great position to spread the project internationally.
