MOD SUN has officially launched into a new era, and his first single back proves he’s not messing around.
Titled ‘Mirror’, MOD SUN is making his return in style with a hard-hitting, high-energy track that demands to be blasted at the highest volume.
Speaking on what ‘Mirror’ means to him, MOD SUN has shared:
“I wanted this music to be the rawest I’ve ever sounded — trashy drums, guitars coming out of amps not computers, vocals with the voice cracks left in. It’s alive, not sterile. I became very self-aware last year, and when I wrote the lyrics, my only rule was, ‘if I wouldn’t say this in a real conversation, it’s not going on the song.’ No poetry, no cleverness, just who I actually am when I walk into a room full of people.”
As he settles into his new label home at Big Loud Rock, the label’s President Joey Moi has said:
“MOD SUN is a rare talent who has established himself by staying completely true to his vision. His influence on the alternative scene is undeniable, and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with him for this next chapter of his life and music.”
MOD SUN’s latest era will officially kick-off with a free show Alex’s Bar in Long Beach, California on Monday, May 11.
