It’s called ‘perfect hell’, and is everything that is brilliant about alternative music in one crushing serving. Combining the emotional earnestness of emo from yesteryear with the sweeping atmosphere of modern shoegaze and grunge, it feels wholly familiar but undeniably fresh. Building up a concluding crescendo of thrashing chords and banshee howls, it’s an outpouring of feeling that is impossible to deny.
Just listen to it. You will love it.
The track is taken from the band’s upcoming album ‘i still care’, which is set to be released on their own label prettyugly records on March 13.
