Northlane have given us another taste of their upcoming album ‘Anemoia’, and it’s an absolutely crushing one.
With the band’s latest full-length set to be released on October 30, their blistering new single is titled ‘Crucified’.
It follows previously released tracks ‘Evian’ and the bludgeoning 'CUT_it’, this time taking things in the direction of pure, unfiltered aggression.
Speaking about the single, frontman Marcus Bridge has shared:
“‘Crucified’ is about the collapse of civil discourse – the way every disagreement now defaults to attack, every conversation becomes a battleground, every difference of opinion ends with someone playing the victim. Not only touching on politics, it’s about the regression of communication as a whole: arguments online, wars, general difference of opinion. If you’re offside, misaligned / we won’t rest tonight / till you’re fucking crucified. The instinct to go for the throat rather than hear someone out has seeped into every corner of life.”
Take a listen.
The band’s full-length follow-up to 2022’s ground-breaking ‘Obsidian’ was executive-produced by none other than Jordan Fish.
Exploring how the world of trance music can cross streams with heavy music, it finds Northlane twisting their electronic metal instincts into a whole load of new and exciting shapes.
