Pulling heavily from the post-hardcore and emo sounds of the early 2000s, a period of time that Joe holds dear and pulls immense influence from, it is a pitch-perfect blend of addictive hooks, frenzied howls and pained poetry. Though it channels that period of alternative music, it still feels quintessentially nothing,nowhere., paying homage without plugging nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake. That has always been the key to the project’s success, and it continues here in abundance.

The track comes hot on the heels of ‘We’re Gonna Need A Bigger Boat!’, a blend of metalcore ferocity and glitching atmosphere made in collaboration with guitarist Clayton King, which dropped last month.
