Palehound Announce New Album With Lead Single ‘The Clutch’

Palehound have announced forthcoming album ‘Eye On The Bat’ with its lead single ‘The Clutch’.

‘Eye On The Bat’ is set to arrive on July 17 via Polyvinyl Record Co – and you can get a load of its lead single ‘The Clutch’ via its video below. 

Speaking about the new tune, Palehound’s El Kempner has explained it was the first tune written for the new album, and was done so when the pandemic brought an end to the band’s tour in 2020.

Kempner has added: “While that was happening, I was also having a triggering romantic experience with somebody I didn’t know too well, and by the time I got home my whole body seemed to be spinning in turmoil.” 

“Writing and producing this song grounded me and helped me process a new future and self that I hadn’t anticipated.”

‘Eye On The Bat’ will mark Palehound’s first release since 2019’s ‘Black Friday’ and Kempner’s first since 2021’s ‘Doomin’ Sun’ LP by Bachelor – a collaborative project between Kempner and Melina Duterte.
