Papa Roach Share Vulnerable New Track ‘Wake Up Calling’

Papa Roach have shared their first new music of 2026, and it’s a track that sits on the more emotional side of their repertoire.

The track is called ‘Wake Up Calling’, and is centred around that feeling of realising you are about to go over the point of no return, and then that someone, or something, that pulls you back from making a massive mistake. It’s a reminder that healing has no beginning, middle or end; it is a constant state that we have to keep tabs on. And although it is okay to slip up, it’s more important than ever to find your way back once more.

It’s the sort of song that Papa Roach do so brilliantly, and that has been the case for a quarter of a century at this point.

Vocalist Jacoby Shaddix had this to say about the song, stating, “’Wake Up Calling’ is a song about standing on the edge of disaster – being pulled back from the brink, and ultimately choosing love over self-destruction. It’s one of the most raw, emotional songs we’ve written.”

The track picks up where the band left off in 2025, where they shared a pair of singles. They were ‘BRAINDEAD’, featuring the legendary Toby Morse of H2O.

And ‘EVEN IF IT KILLS ME’. Whatever the band are building up to, it’s going to be one for the ages.
