The Black Sabbath icon performs on the track which is taken from Williams’ forthcoming album ‘Britpop’, said to be inspired by UK artists and the rock of the mid 90s.

Williams said “It was the peak of Britpop and a golden age for British Music. I’ve worked with some of my heroes on this album; it’s raw, there are more guitars and it’s an album that’s even more upbeat and anthemic than usual. There’s some ‘Brit’ in there and there’s certainly some ‘pop’ too – I’m immensely proud of this as a body of work and I’m excited for fans to hear this album.”

The track’s music video was directed by Charlie Lightening, and features Robbie making his way around London dressed in a punk-inspired outfit, while other scenes were shot with Tony Iommi in his hometown, Birmingham.

No word yet on who the other collaborators on the album may be but Robbie Williams has previously collaborated with SOFT PLAY on their track ‘Punk’s Dead’ so hopefully ‘Rocket’ will not be the only heavy moment he has lined up.

Williams kicks off his stadium tour in Edinburgh on May 31.

Meanwhile, Black Sabbath will reunite for a final show in Birmingham this July alongside a huge lineup including Metallica, Tool, Guns ‘N’ Roses and Slayer.
