SCATTERBRAIN Shares Vulnerable Debut Track ‘PHASES’

Brian Burkheiser, formally of I Prevail, has released his first music under his SCATTERBRAIN moniker, and it’s as warts-and-all as you have ever heard him be.

The track is titled ‘PHASES’, and finds Brian looking back over his journey over the years in an honest and heartbreaking manner. From the highs to the lows, the frustrations and the victories, and finally, moments of vindication and understanding of what he has been through, in mind and body, it’s the most raw version of Brian we have been shown.

Set against a soundtrack that incorporates as much pop sensability as it does hard rock edge, it’s a triumphant first step, not just in music but also in the telling of his story, on his terms.

Check it out alongside an absolute movie of a music video below.

The track may be Brian’s first original music for this project, but it’s not his first release.

It follows on from a cover of Taylor Swift’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do’, a nod to the beginning of his journey with I Prevail, which can be heard right down there.
