Sleep Theory have released a new EP titled ‘(E)motional (S)upport (C)are (P)ackage’, made up of their recent releases of covers.
And the final piece of the puzzle, following on from their version of *NSYNC’s ‘Bye Bye Bye’ and Paramore’s ‘My Heart’ is a take on Taylor Swift’s sensational track ‘Cruel Summer’.
Finally getting its flowers on the Eras tour following its release back in 2019, it’s a perfect piece of modern pop, which Sleep Theory pay tribute to whilst also moulding into their own melodic shape.
The result feels a little bit rock, a little bit country and a whole lot of fun. The sort of song made for long drives and longer nights.
