SNAYX are back with an incendiary new track, which they unveiled with a unique and thoughtful music video concept.
The track itself is called ‘Brain Cellz’ and it takes aim at the culture of confrontation that has infiltrated modern living. The idea that everything needs an argument, and those arguing would rather spit bile than attempt to understand another perspective. Presented in a crushing and caustic manner, it is a song that attempts to unite those who have had enough of the noise.
And with this in mind, the band actually released two different music videos to accompany the concept. Showing off a tug of war between teams of reds and blues, each one showcased the battle from the perspective of one of those colours. A fan vote for favourite was put into action and the winner is the one that remains, with the other video deleted and never to be see again. It’s a nail-on-head demonstration of how knowing both sides of the story is vital, but in now one half being gone forever, the endless stream of not knowing everything and being okay with that continues.
The band had this to say about the track:
“Often, as humans, we needlessly argue amongst ourselves for little gain and throw each other under the bus for moral convenience. It often feels like a constant struggle that ultimately gains little more than the token satisfaction of being right one time. In reality, we all make mistakes, and growth takes patience, guidance and understanding.We decided to represent this futile struggle in the form of a tug of war. To illustrate the message, we filmed it twice, with each version focusing on the opposing team’s perspective and outcome. The lens is skewed to show how we often let personal biases steer a will towards a preferred outcome. ‘In a war for the sun or the moon, whose side are you on? Whose fight will you choose?”

“After 72 hours of both videos going live, the one with the most views and engagement on YouTube will be declared the ultimate winner and the other version will be deleted forever. You simply use your power to like and comment to permanently decide which of the two outcomes goes on to become the official music video forever, and cementing yourself as a hidden member of the winning team.
