Softcult have shared a stunningly atmospheric music video for ‘I Held You Like Glass’, taken from the duo’s debut album ‘When A Flower Doesn’t Grow’.

The Ontario sibling duo released their debut full-length at the start of the year, and have since shared a number of stunning videos to accompany their most personal collection of songs to date.
Speaking on ‘I Held You Like Glass’, vocalist Mercedes Arn-Horn has said:
“We wrote “i held you like glass” about the processing and letting go of unhealed trauma. The lyrics describe how it feels to internalize the dynamics of toxic relationships, comparing loving people that hurt us to holding broken glass; continuously wounding us until we let go. Over time we slowly grow numb to the discomfort until it feels normal.” Speaking of the music video Mercedes continues, “We wanted to use the broken glass analogy visually as well, slowly revealing the extent of our injuries until they become too severe to ignore.”

Softcult will kickstart their UK and European tour this November, playing some huge headline shows across the continent.
