Spiritbox Share Triumphant New Track ‘Mourning’

Spiritbox have stepped out of the black and white and into a world of colour with their beautiful new track ‘Mourning’.

The first piece of music from the band since the release of their full-length ‘Tsunami Sea’ in 2025, it’s a song that feels truly transformative, a fresh start and a new outlook after stewing in the darkness for so long.

Musically, ‘Mourning’ is a melodic masterclass. A chugging, thrilling, gorgeously constructed piece of modern metal, pulling on elements of shoegaze and post-metal to hammer home the soaring nature of the track. And lyrically, it finds Courtney LaPlante in a reflective and accepting mood. Making sense of the fact that sometimes you have to go through the bad to make peace with it and approach a brighter tomorrow, and that path may not always be the way in which you would prefer things to go, it’s a song that is still steeped in deep emotional despite the flickers of hope peeking through.

Basically, it is stunning.

The song comes as the band prepare to hit the road for an extensive tour of the UK and Europe, with support coming from Jinjer and Dying Wish. Here are all of the dates that you can catch them.
