Stand Atlantic have shared a new track called ‘Edge of Vegas’, set to appear on their upcoming record ‘GODBREATH’, and it finds them once again leaving everything out in the open.
Compared to the more buoyant and breezy offerings from ‘GOD BREATH’ so far, ‘Edge Of Vegas’ slows things down and allows reflection to seep into the cracks. It also showcases vocalist Bonnie Fraser putting sentiments to tape that are hard enough to admit to yourself out loud, let alone become part of your legacy. But it reminds us how important it is to question ourselves and where we are heading, even when everything else in our lives is going well.
The result will resonate with those who know they are heading in the right direction, but still have work to do.
Bonnie had this to say about the track:
“I went into this album knowing that I was happy and having a great time, so I was just going to lean into that instead of trying to manufacture some wounded feeling. At the same time ‘Edge of Vegas’ is totally unfiltered. It’s as honest as we can be. As soon as we’re genuine in what we’re doing, we don’t have to try too hard to do anything. It is always the best outcome every time.”
‘GODBREATH’ will be released on October 23 via Virgin Music Group.
