The Brobecks Announce ‘Not Dead Yet’ Documentary

The Brobecks have officially announced their upcoming documentary film ‘Not Dead Yet’.

The band, which was fronted by iDKHOW's Dallon Weekes, will reflect on the making of their first two albums ‘Violent Things’ and ‘Happiest Nuclear Winter’ in the documentary.

With a premiere screening taking place on December 12 at Salt Lake City’s Megaplex, it has not yet been confirmed whether ‘Not Dead Yet’ will be receiving a digital release.

Featuring interviews with Weekes and his former bandmates Michael Gross, Bryan Szymanski and Matt Glass, the documentary has been described as “a feature-length film packed with archival footage documenting the origins of The Brobecks and the making of their first two albums and what’s next”.

Posting on social media, the band’s own Emmy-winning filmmaker Matt Glass shared:

“In some ways, I suppose I’ve been working on this documentary for 20 years. I’m excited for people to take a step back in time with us and see how a couple of childhood friends made some scrappy DIY music and had a great time doing it. 🙂☢️❄️”

Earlier this year, Rock Sound sat down with Dallon, Matt, and Michael to talk through the process of creating ‘Not Dead Yet’, finally releasing ‘Happiest Nuclear Winter’ on streaming, and their future plans for more new music.
