As they battle for a No.01 in the UK album charts, The Molotovs have announced the dates of their biggest headline tour to date.
Let’s talk about that chart battle first. According to the Official Charts Company's midweek UK chart update, and revealed as part of their midweek chart update, the band’s debut album 'Wasted On Youth’ is currently at No.02. That’s just below Lily Allen’s 'West End Girl’ and just above Olivia Dean’s 'The Art Of Loving’. In esteemed company.
The band joked on Instagram, saying, “In a chart war with some new, unsigned band called Lily Allen”, with Lily even replying, “It’s all love baby, @TheMolotovs, hope you win the war.”
Very lovely.
So it’s the perfect time for the band to announce some shows for those who have been supporting them so feverishly to see them live.
The band’s own Issey Cartlidge had this to say about the announcement, excitedly stating, “We’re delighted with the chart success of the album, but that’s not what we’re about. Our passion is for getting out around the country, and around the world, playing for audiences new and old – connecting with people who love music as much as we do. That love of music can help build a positivity and optimism sorely lacking elsewhere in 2026.”
