The Molotovs have been revealed as the surprise opening headliner for a concert series set to take place in the heart of London.
The band will take to the stage on the opening night of the King’s Cross Summer Sounds, which is taking place between August 13-23, “showcasing a stellar line-up of acts that seamlessly blends the world’s best folk, jazz, soul, classical and indie rock music“
And for opening night, it will all be about the legend that is David Bowie, with the full line-up of the band alongside Ashaine White and former The Magic Gang frontman Jack Kaye all playing covers from his inimitable discography during their sets.
Vocalist Matt Cartlidge had this to say about the occasion:
“We can’t wait to get on stage at King’s Cross Summer Sounds – and to pay tribute to David Bowie, one of this company’s musical legends. The Lightroom show is phenomenal and this gig is going to be something special.”
