The S.E.T. Share Thrashing New Track ‘TMT’

The S.E.T., the new band from ex-Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert, have launched themselves into the world with their first-ever track.

Alongside Ebert, the band also features Flatspot Records co-founder Che Figueroa on bass and former End It drummer Ryan Fauver on, well, the drums. Vocalist Tim was brought into the fold after being spotted grabbing the microphone at Disturbin’ The Peace Festival. And with the band obviously signed to Flatspot Records, their sound is as fierce and frantic as you would expect it to be.

That’s demonstrated via ‘TMT’, 87 seconds of thrashing riffs, insatiable attitude and pit-spinning intent. It is Baltimore hardcore at its very best and brightest, and the sign that the band aren’t here to mess about.

Have a watch and a listen.

The track is taken from the band’s debut EP ‘Self Evident Truth’, which will be released on March 06 via Flatspot.

Brady had this to say about the EP’s themes, stating, “In the Declaration of Independence, the two self-evident truths were that all people are created equal, and that everyone has the right to pursue happiness. Unfortunately, the powers that be have forgotten that and are trying to deny us normal working-class citizens those truths, and we can’t let that happen.”

And Tim had this to say, adding, “We live in a society, especially now with this current administration, where the people up top try to defy the truth through propaganda, war, racism and all forms of authoritarian ideas. I wanted this release to define what we are and what we believe the truth is.”
