The Sound of Animals Fighting Release First New Song In 14 Years

One of the scene’s most fascinating projects is back for their first release in a decade and a half, and it is something very special.

The Sound Of Animals Fighting have always been one of the scene’s most intriguing bands, even in their absence these past years.

Made up of four core members, The Nightingale (Rich Balling, Hospital Gown, ex-Rx Bandits), The Skunk (Anthony Green, Saosin, Circa Survive, L.S. Dunes), The Walrus (Matt Embree, Rx Bandits), and The Lynx (Chris Tsagakis, Rx Bandits), but with additional work provided by a whole host of special talents, theirs is a creative universe unlike any other.

And they are back. With their first new music in a decade and a half.

It’s called ‘Apeshit’ and is the title track of a new EP which will be dropping on December 08 via Born Loser Records.

The artwork for that EP looks like this:

And the tracklisting like this:

01. Apeshit
02. Wolf
03. Sharon Tate, Despite Everything
04. Duche Das

When it comes to ‘Apeshit’ specifically, it is five minutes of sporadic and sensational post-hardcore. Twanging riffs, bubbling, synths, unnerving whispers and powerful yelps fill your mind and your soul. It is unique, discomforting and totally undeniable.
