The follow-up to recent tracks ‘New Reality’ and ‘Nocturnal Future’, today’s release offers frenzied catharsis atop moments of angst-ridden atmospherics.

Produced by Hiram Hernandez (As I Lay Dying, AVOID), you can have a listen via its brilliant, red-tinged visualiser below.

Describing the meaning of the new track, The Word Alive vocalist Telle Smith has explained how its about toxic romance, especially in the modern age, asking:

“Have you ever fallen for the wrong person? Someone who uses and twists your heart and good intentions into something that feels more like torture than love?”

“The impact of social media is prevalent in so many aspects of our lives. “Strange Love” is meant to feel like the toxic rollercoaster we sometimes find ourselves on when chasing love.”

The band’s last album, ‘MONOMANIA’, came in 2020.
