This Wild Life are kicking off 2026 doing what they do best, covering one of last year’s biggest songs.

The duo have put their own spin on Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Manchild’ and made it even more Southern than it already is. Where the original dips its toes into country music atmospheres, Kevin Jordan and Anthony Del Grosso go all in. With Kevin on his trusty acoustic and Anthony sitting down and plucking at a pedal steel guitar, it wouldn’t sound out of place being performed on stage at the Grand Ole Opry.
It serves as a welcome return for the band, putting such a beautiful spin on such a brilliant song, and also a reminder of just how far their expertise stretches. It doesn’t get much better, really.
Have a listen for yourself.
The track serves as the band’s first music, cover or original, in almost three years. 2023 saw them drop their fifth full-length, ‘Never Fade’, whilst also collaborating with Broadside’s Oliver Baxxter on a version of blink-182’s ‘I Miss You’.
They also collaborated withDayseeker’s Rory Rodriguez on a version of their beautiful track ‘Proximity’. That sounds a lot like this.
The pair spent 2025 celebrating a decade of their debut full-length ‘Clouded’ out on the road. Here is a performance of the lovely ‘History’, shot in Anaheim, CA.
