Thornhill were among the winners at the 2025 ARIA Awards, taking home Best Hard Rock / Heavy Metal Album.

The Australian awards ceremony took place at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney tonight (November 19).
Beating tough competition in the form of The Amity Affliction, RedHook, Press Club and Civic, Thornhill were announced as winners of the award in recognition of latest album ‘Bodies’.
The night’s biggest winners were Amyl & The Sniffers who collected a total of four awards including Album Of The Year and Best Rock Album.
In our Album Story digital cover feature earlier this year, Thornhill’s Jacob Charlton described working on their new music, saying:
“I think we landed on ‘Bodies’ in the right way. We were ready to make the sound that we didn’t know we wanted until we did it. The process was less a case of, “We’ve done this before, so we can’t do it again” and more, ‘Can we do things better than what we are thinking and hearing right now.”
