Twenty One Pilots Unveil Epic Music Video For ‘City Walls’

Twenty One Pilots have brought their ongoing DEMA storyline to a close on latest album ‘Breach’, concluding the plot via the new music video, ‘City Walls’.

A nearly ten-minute long epic, it features throwback moments referencing previous videos from the band including ‘Jumpsuit’ and ‘HeavyDirtySoul’.

Without going too much into spoiler territory, it brings this decade-long saga to a satisfying end that will have fans debating and wondering what the future may hold for the two central characters portrayed by Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun.

‘Breach’ is out now via Fueled By Ramen and includes previous singles ‘The Contract’ and ‘Drum Show’.

Earlier this year, Tyler Joseph spoke with us about the band’s initial approach to this storyline as we celebrated 10 years of the album ‘Blurryface’.

He said,“We weren’t trying to do something new. We were just trying to do something that felt right to us and the small fan base that we had. The way I would describe it is, I feel artists always feel like they’re trying to cast the net as far as possible to get as many people to be a part of this. But what happens is that you start casting over the top of the people that are standing right in front of you who are already in and want to be a part of this…With ‘Blurryface’ and the story and the lyrical content, talking about that internal struggle and mental health and utilizing songs to wrestle with those topics, it felt like we were perfectly casting our net in front of us to the fans that had gathered at that point…You should be thinking of people that you’ve met when you create. You should be seeing faces that you’ve seen before when you’re writing a song or making an album or coming up with a show.”
