After already making huge strides, VILLANELLE have now announced the details of their hotly anticipated debut EP.
Titled ‘Measly Means’, it will be released on May 06. It will include the band’s two previously released singles, those being ‘Measly Means’ and 'Hinge’, as well as three additional songs.
One of those songs has also been released, named ‘Placebo’. A caustic, thrashing piece of British rock, it continues to show off the band’s love of 90s alt and grunge whilst still feeling wonderfully fresh. Throw in Gene Gallagher’s already trademark twang, and you have a noisy, catchy, brilliantly chaotic addition to their already fascinating story.
Gene had this to say about the track, curiously stating, “’Placebo’ is about heightened visualizations of post session anxiety.”
