Ahead of their December UK headline tour, VILLANELLE have unleashed fierce second single ‘Measly Means’.
Following the arrival of their debut single ‘Hinge’ earlier this year, it’s another taste of the trio’s upcoming debut EP.
Comprised of Gene Gallagher [vocals/guitar], Ben Taylor [guitar] and Jack Schiavo [bass], ‘Measly Means’ is a hook-driven slice of raw power and swaggering attitude.
On the new track, Gene has shared:
“‘Measly Means’ we laboured over for ages. At first it sounded too light and lovey, but when Ben added the bends and sustains that made it feel like Smashing Pumpkins I was like, that’s it. Like ‘Hinge’ I wrote the lyrics when I was about fourteen. It’s about being hungover. It’s a bit of a theme.”
