Dashboard Confessional were joined by a familiar face for a rendition of their classic ‘Hands Down’ this weekend.
The 1975’s Matty Healy and Dashboard Confessional crossed paths this weekend and performed at the Audacy Beach Festival in Ft. Lauderdale.
With both bands being on the line-up, and Matty and Chris being already close, they appeared on stage together for a run-through of the classic track ‘Hands Down’.
Already a special song in its own right, having Matty clearly living out a childhood dream takes it to another level altogether.
Speaking to Audacy, Matty had this to say about the moment:
“I’m friends with Chris, I’ve known him for a while. We’ve been a band since 2002 so were around in that whole scene… I just wanted to be in Dashboard for a minute.”

It’s not the first time the pair have performed together, with him joining Chris Carrabba for a performance of ‘Sex’ at London’s St. Pancras Church.
