Tonight Alive and South Arcade joined forces on stage at Good Things Festival this past weekend for a very special performance.

A Tonight Alive show is special in its own right these days, with the band only playing a handful of gigs rather than hitting the road hard like in the past.
So when Australia’s premier travelling circus of the best of alt, emo, pop-punk and everything in-between got into Brisbane, the band set out to make the occasion on Sunday (December 07), they set out to make one of the set’s biggest moments even more iconic.
That moment was during ‘Lonely Girl’, a song taken from the band’s second full-length ‘, The Other Side’, released back in 2013, that still sounds as fresh and vibrant now as it did back then. With Jenna McDougall in incredible vocal form, the only way to up the ante was to add another sensational female voice to the mix.
That came from South Arcade’s Harmony Cavelle, seeing out what has been an exceptional year for the band with a trip down under. Complimenting each other’s voices beautifully, whilst demonstrating how the song’s sentiment transcends generations, it’s a moment of pure bliss. A chance for the old school and the new school to meet in the middle in some style.
The appearance clearly meant a lot to the band too, with footage of it being posted to Instagram alongside the caption, “PURE JOY performing Lonely Girl with the formidable Harmony Cavelle of South Arcade. A new millennium angel! Godspeed on the bright journey ahead of you, superstar.”
If that wasn’t enough for you, you can also check out some fan-shot footage from the crowd below as well.
South Arcade recently released their new EP ‘PLAY!’, five tracks of bold, belligerent pop-rock that feel as nostalgic as they do refreshing. Check out the infectious ‘FEAR OF HEIGHTS’ below:
Tonight Alive will be seeing out 2025 with a couple more shows, these being at the Crowbar in Brisbane on December 17 and the Crowbar in Sydney on December 21.
They will also be making their way over to the UK in the Summer for their only festival appearance of 2026 here at Slam Dunk, where they will be joined by the likes of Good Charlotte, Stand Atlantic, Taking Back Sunday and many more.
