Winona Fighter have shared a cover of Beastie Boys’ iconic hit single ‘Sabotage’.
With the deluxe edition of their debut album ‘My Apologies To The Chef’ arriving today (September 05), it follows their recent cover of The Violent Femmes’ ‘Blister In The Sun’.

The deluxe edition of ‘My Apologies To The Chef’ is out now.
On its release, frontwoman Coco Kinnon has shared:
“We are really stoked to have the deluxe version of our debut album out in the world. It was an amazing opportunity for us to step away from the artist title and showcase ourselves as musicians and overall a band. I mean we just love to play (especially together) as much as possible so it was exciting to take on such a fun project. Not to mention the fact that these recordings are as raw as it gets with some of them being the 3 of us, each with a guitar, around one microphone. We were able to take a lot of elements that have naturally evolved during the live show and incorporate them into some of the acoustic recordings. I hope this record inspires other artists and folks in general to step outside of their comfort zone, break outside of their box, and just play.”
Earlier this year, Rock Sound caught up with Coco to delve into Winona Fighter’s journey so far.
Speaking on what she hopes the record accomplishes, Coco told us:
“What I keep on saying about this record is that all we can hope for is that it achieves a level of success where we can start writing for the next one and continue doing this and continue having an impact. Again, it’s about paying it forward. We were the kids who had nobody believing in us. So, I welcome the work that is to come.”
